We started our journey from London to Paris from Gatwick Airport.
Please note that you should always check your queries from the K-portal of the airport. Unlike most busy airports, other portals get closed after 8 PM or 9 PM. Please ensure that you reach the airport at least 3 hours before departure.
Try to get a hotel in Paris or very near Paris. It is advisable not to opt for any hotel in any village outside Paris.
The biggest challenge, I feel, is transportation. Metro communication is best for citizens but not at all advisable for tourists who do not know French. One other thing to be careful about: pick pockets aboard the metro train.
The Taxi service is available but you would have to contact your hotel manager to get a prompt response from this service. Barring a few small hiccups, I loved the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum and Paris Gate.
